Your First question is probably
- "where have you been all of this time Micaël?" And you are
right. It has been a long time since the last time I sat down and wrote in
order to let you know what has been going on in with the work of God here
in France. Even though it has been a long time this does not mean that God
has not been doing anything; on the contrary, God has been moving in a
powerful way recently. But let me go back to the last time I wrote.
The last news I gave everyone
was right after I came back from a study tour in Israel. We were 27
pastors and their wives to have gone on this trip. This was a blessed
time, where I was able to discover in an even more powerful way what God
has done for each and everyone of us. We visited Jerusalem, the Mont of
Olives, the Garden where Jesus tomb is believed to have been. Golgotha,
the Sea of Galilee, The Dead Sea, Mount Carmel, and much, much more.
At this time I would like to add
a little prayer request. Last week one of the pastors which was with us on
this study tour had a car accident; he and his two daughters were called
back to God. This is a very difficult time for his wife and his two sons
who now have to face the reality and the horror of the loss of the family
members. The church is also totally lost at this time. I ask that you keep
them in your prayers. Thank you.
After our return from this trip
in Israel, each of us went back to our churches. A few days after the
return from my trip, I saw God continue to work in a powerful way. One
Sunday afternoon, during the sermon a man was healed from a handicapped
hand. He had been unable to move his left hand for several years now and
God gave him to experience His healing touch.
This summer, I was unable to go
home because of the airline prices. But God had something else planned for
me. This gave me the opportunity to go and work in the A.G.'s Summer
Camp. Another blessed time for me. This camp is very different than the
ones in the states. First it lasts one month and not only one week. Second
all of the ages are at camp at the same time; each staying in their own
building and having activities planned for their age group. The ages vary
from 6-18 years old. Then most of that activities take place off campus.
These activities go anywhere from swimming, to white water rafting, to
horse back riding, to camping, to treasure hunts, and much more. I was
able to preach to most every age group while I was there, but I must admit
that the most challenging was talking to the 6-9 year olds. But I must
also thank God for his help; at the end of the few minutes (less than 10)
of talking I had an altar call and there was about 10 kids who came
forward and their was even another miraculous healing. Thank you Lord for
using me as an instrument in your hands!!
Summer is over now and God has
allowed us to see many more healings since then. Two of them which took
place last week. Our God is an awesome God!
Last week we also had a little
get together, we could say a little party for the kids in the church. The
goal of this party was to give them the possibility of getting candies for
the 31st of October without participating in the whole
"Halloween" spirit which has invaded France in the past five
years. For France, Halloween is a very satanic and spiritual time. People
are lot more taken by the spirit of death and all of the demonic activity
rather than just the "candy hunt" . Of course, if we go back to
the origin of Halloween, it has always been a demonic and satanic holiday.
As for the church party we had a very good turnout; with approximately 60
kids, where 25 of the kids were not Christians. This was the first time we
had ever done anything like this, so we thank God for his help in reaching
our community. The afternoon was filled with lots of games, and an all
around great atmosphere, each child left with a bag of candies and with
the knowledge that God loved him.
I would like to leave you one
more prayer request. Please continue to pray for France. Please continue
to pray for us and that God may continue to touch the city of Cannes.
Thank you for your support and
may God bless you richly.
Micaël
