Mai 2001 Newsletter
It is once again with great
pleasure that I sit down and write to you concerning the latest news from the
French Riviera. Let me first of all say that I hope you enjoy my new website and
that find it more useful.
So much has happened since
the last newsletter, but I am glad to say that God is still blessing. The church
here is in the process of getting everything in place for the construction of a
new building. So far we have been able to purchase the last open lot in Cannes,
we have gotten all of the architectural blue prints and now are planning on
getting all of the final legal papers. Be praying with us that God will
bless in every aspect of this construction project - materially and financially.
One of your questions might
be: "So what have you been
doing lately Micaël?" Besides being extremely busy, I have been continuing
my work in the church. Things are going well and God is blessing us with more
and more visitors, but not just one time visitors. But visitors that realize that they are in need of the forgiveness of their
sins, so they come back so as to build a deeper relationship with God.
Spring has come, taking the place of winter, and bringing sunshine instead of
rain. People are now coming back to town and to the beaches, after a long winter
of emptiness. To launch the beginning of a new season, we organized a gathering
for all of the churches in the area. It was a great blessing to see a
little over 1,300 people gathered to worship and to praise the Lord. Not only
was the word of God spread through the preaching of the word but the Choir from
Cannes was asked to sing and to lead the people into a time of worship. The most
important thing though was that people responded to the altar call and when that
happens, we know that even after the hours of work that it took to prepare this
meeting, it was all worth it.
"Our God is an
Awesome God". If there is only thing you remember from this letter;
remember the undeniable greatness and the
power of God. He can answer all your needs if you simply call on Him.
